So I have decided to start making bows and headbands and selling them on Etsy. Here are some of my latest bows and headbands.....
nowI just need to try and start talking to stores and boutiques about carrying them.....we'll see how that goes as I am more than a little afraid of the rejection side of that......

My little Farmers Girl
Every year Eddie goes to an agent conference in downtown sac, and this year he decided to bring Riley. He did everything from getting her a custom made farmers shirt to ordering her a name tag the says Riley Medeiros, Jr. Agent. They looked so cute together and she was SO excited. My little girl all grown up.

The Look
our sweet smiling girl
"the look"
Here is our latest dilemma in our home. Eddie has decided to teach Addy how to give "the look" which is really just addy glaring at you. I realize that at first it was funny. She would glare at us when prompted and we would all laugh. But then she decided that she liked being quite the comedian and started glaring at people who would come say hi to her instead of giving her sweet smile that we are all so used to. I used to say how she was my friendly, social child who liked everyone. Now I am just trying to save people from the glare. And even though I don't approve, I still had to document this "attitude expression" as I know it is hopefully just a phase we will be able to break her of. Here is a picture of "the look". I also am attaching a pic of her smiling to let you know that she can still be sweet and loving when she wants to be.....

Disneyland

For some reason the last few weeks have felt overwhelming and I have not gotten around to adding all our pictures from Disneyland. I think it could have something to do with the fact that I have been trying to potty train Riley. The idea seems simple enough but the follow-through is not all that easy, especially when you have a daughter as opinionated as mine. Things will be going perfect, she will have made it all day without an accident and then we wake up the next morning and literally refuses to sit on the toilet. By the third accident I don't have the energy to clean up anouther mess and off we go again with diapers. It has become a vicious cycle. I swear I even make it fun and I give m&m rewards for even trying! The doctor keeps telling me to just ride it out. That there will be good days and bad days, but the doctor isn't at my house having to clean it all up. Anyways...back to disneyland.....
we caravaned down in a rented mini-van (quite the experience) I don't blame Em and Angela (aka Angie on this trip) for taking Em's car instead of joining our whole crew. It was three days in literally the happiest place on earth, Riley still asks me almost every day if we are going to go back to disneyland. It's hard to explain to a two year old that you will, it will just be anouther year or so......so here are the pictures of our little trip.....

My Mom and Don took Riley camping on Sunday and on Tuesday Eddie, Addy and I went to Tahoe to pick her up. I have determined that Addy is too young to go on trips like this. She does so much better when she sticks to a strict nap schedule at home. Poor Riley will have to be a homebody for the next few months. Despite Addy we had a fun time in Tahoe and Riley would have stayed anouther month if we let her. She LOVED being filthy dirty!

Long Week
So this week has been an interesting one. At the end of last week Ry came down with a fever of about 101 and held on to it for about 5 or 6 days. On the 5th day of the fever Addy got her 2 mo. shots. Lets just say there was alot of crying going on in our house. I am SO glad it's over and everyone is feeling better! Eddie and I have been working night and day to launch Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University at our church.
Eddie has also decided to move from his current office with 3 other Farmers Insurance Agents and venture out on his own! With office rental prices so low now we couldn't pass up on the good deals he was seeing, plus he is going to be working WAY closer to home, YEAH!!!!

The girls
How time flys with two little ones. I feel like I just had Addy yesterday and it has been well over two months now. She will be 11 weeks on Thursday! She holds up her head really well and is extremely alert and attentive for a 2 month old. I swear I am not one of those moms that thinks their kid is extremely advanced....she just really does do those things. Tummy time on the other had is her least favorite part of life. All the books say to put them on their tummy supervised for like 10 minutes a day. Addy hates it. Literally she screams.....so that activity has not become part of our daily schedule. I hope I am not hindering her in any way by not doing it. My ry bear is growing up on me. She is putting together short sentences and learning to sing (which is very very cute to watch). Our lives feel so full and happy.
